Boy on Bicycle

Hi Everyone

At last a card! Sorry I haven't posted in a long while but I have been away a couple of times during the school holidays. Twice to the Isle of Wight, I love this place so much. First time I went with my mum and my children and we stayed in Yarmouth for 10 days in a friends house (they weren't there) We were so lucky, the weather was fabulous!

Unfortunately my grandma died while we were away, I did get to say goodbye to her as did my children before we went. She was quite poorly, but she had a good life and was 96. So when I got home mum and I had to sort my grandma's belongings out. By the time I arrived home I only had a couple of days turn around and was back on the ferry to the island again, this time with Gord and our three children for 8 days, and we stayed in Ventnor. Again fab weather!

The only thing is once we had boarded the ferry Gord realised that he had forgotten his work phone (he never stops working, big deals coming in!) so later that evening him and Jessica took another ferry home, one and a half hour drive home, sleep, up at 6.30am, another one and a half hours drive back to the port to board the ferry at 9am. Meanwhile I had a lovely quiet evening and a big bed all to myself!

Anyhow onto my card before I bore you to tears!

I have made this card using a LOTV die cut topper, cheated a bit, but I think these are so lovely.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Lili's Little Fairies - Spots or Stripes

Well that's it from me today, thank you for looking and for any comments you may leave as they are always appreciated.

Take care
Big Hugs
Judexx

Weren't you lucky having good weather on both of your holidays, considering how bad it has been this Summer. So glad you had a good time but so sorry to hear about your Grandma. Still, as you say she had a good innings - 96 wow!!

Hi Jude
I am so sorry to read about your Grandma its so sad when family members pass on ,but I bet you and your Mum had a tearful but a happy memory time clearing up her belongings .
My hubby and I go to The Isle of Wight all the time , his family were from Totland and his greatest wish, if he wins the lottery is to refurbish Totland pier to as it was when he was a lad, a thriving bustling pier.
He is a genealogist and has taken his family back to early 1500's they were all smugglers on the Wight.
What a nuisance for your hubby having to go back for his phone though.
Glad you are now back and crafting this card is so fresh and colourful , love how you have placed the clouds well done Hugs Elaine
