Baby Boy ~ Lotv

Hi Everyone

Well only two more sleeps until Christmas Day!

I have just arrived back this evening from my parents house in Sandhurst (Berkshire) as I have been helping my dad fit a new kitchen. I made up 18 base and wall cupboards, a lot of hard work but I love this sort of thing. The kitchen won't be finished by Christmas but will be usable! And it will look fab also when finished!

As I have been away I haven't been able to finish the last of my present shopping, so tomorrow I will have to brave the shops or Gord won't being getting anything!
We are at home for Christmas the five of us and Gord's brother, then off to Mum & Dad's for Boxing day. Can't wait! Love Christmas!

So onto my card, I have chosen an Lotv image which is so adorable, and have used First Edition papers called ' Up, up and away' which are also gorgeous.

I would like to enter this card into the following:

Something New ~ Lili's Little Fairies

Just to say thank you to all my lovely followers for the lovely comments you leave throughout the year. Have yourself a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

NEC Stash!

Hi Everyone

Just thought I would show you what I bought at the NEC on Saturday.  I drove my sister Helen, Aimee, Jessica and their best friend to the show, took us about 1 1/2 hours. It was heaving! To be honest I didn't spend alot so I came home and did some ordering on the internet, well it would be rude not too!!!

I just had to have this gorgeous pink tote by Mackinac Moon!
The thing is my craft room which was the dining room has been turned back into the dining room as we are trying to move at the mo. So I spread my crafting bits outs all over the table and tidy it away when it's dinner time so this should make it easier!  Well that's my excuse!

I got a few bargains on some stamps and bought lots of embellishments. the door hangers are for the children to decorate for their bedrooms. I also purchased some 6x6 scalloped cards and envelopes.

Roll on February when I go to the farnborough show!

Well that's it for today, will be back very soon with a card.

Take care

Jo Painting

Hello Everyone

Thank you for all the lovely comments you have left me with regards to my grandma, so kind of you. The funeral was 'lovely' I know some people may find that odd to say (Gordon did) but people wore touches of pinks/lilac/purple etc and hardly any black as it was a celebration of her life and she loved pretty colours. The thing that made it different I feel is that the hearse was silver instead of black! I think it gave the funeral a calming effect.
The wake was lovely as it was held in a very large old house (Gordon used to go to senior school there) in a beautiful room which opened out onto the gardens.  The children played outside while the adults chatted inside and/or had a guided tour from Gordon. Think it brought back lots of memories for him.

Now onto my card, today I have made a card using an image from Mo Manning called Jo Painting, I just love her images they are so beautifully detailed and a pleasure to colour.

Boy on Bicycle

Hi Everyone

At last a card! Sorry I haven't posted in a long while but I have been away a couple of times during the school holidays. Twice to the Isle of Wight, I love this place so much. First time I went with my mum and my children and we stayed in Yarmouth for 10 days in a friends house (they weren't there) We were so lucky, the weather was fabulous!

Unfortunately my grandma died while we were away, I did get to say goodbye to her as did my children before we went. She was quite poorly, but she had a good life and was 96. So when I got home mum and I had to sort my grandma's belongings out. By the time I arrived home I only had a couple of days turn around and was back on the ferry to the island again, this time with Gord and our three children for 8 days, and we stayed in Ventnor. Again fab weather!

The only thing is once we had boarded the ferry Gord realised that he had forgotten his work phone (he never stops working, big deals coming in!) so later that evening him and Jessica took another ferry home, one and a half hour drive home, sleep, up at 6.30am, another one and a half hours drive back to the port to board the ferry at 9am. Meanwhile I had a lovely quiet evening and a big bed all to myself!

Anyhow onto my card before I bore you to tears!

I have made this card using a LOTV die cut topper, cheated a bit, but I think these are so lovely.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Lili's Little Fairies - Spots or Stripes

Well that's it from me today, thank you for looking and for any comments you may leave as they are always appreciated.

My Copic Storage!

Hi Everyone

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog.

Thought I would show you my new storage unit that I purchased from Vixx Craft Storage

It's wonderful. When it arrived yesterday, this is what it looked like:

Then after two coats of Primer and two coats of Satin this is the result. Doesn't it look fab !

And now it matches my other items on my craft desk. I have an old CD storage unit that I bought in the 90's, but couldn't bear to throw it away, so I recently painted it (in the picture) and now use it to store my Ink pads. I am in love with it all over again just like I was when I first purchased it !

Anyhow that's it from me, must start making some cards, been a bit hectic here.

Lovely Ladies

Hi Lovely Followers,

Today I have decided to have a go at making a stamped and embossed card. I stamped the images on plain card then embossed with clear powder. (hasn't come out in the picture)
For the background I used a couple of Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Then I used one of the colours to stamp a floral design behind.

I didn't have any black pearls so I coloured them with a black Copic pen, unfortunately I was a little impatient as you can see from my card and one of them wasn't dry so it smudged!!

Well that's it for today, so have a good one.

Any comments you leave are always greatly appreciated.
